My name is Philip Conradsson and I’m the founder and creative director of Giabe a menswear brand focusing on relaxed tailoring and high quality garments made with a season-less perspective in mind.

It actually started when I began working at my parents’ multibrand store as a teenager — I was around 15. We carried a great mix of Scandinavian labels like Acne, Tiger of Sweden, and Filippa K, as well as international brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. Being exposed to such a wide range of styles helped shape my personal taste early on, which I’m really grateful for.

I’m someone who enjoys dressing down a suit with a T-shirt or knitted sweater, or dressing up a pair of jeans with black penny loafers and a double-breasted jacket. For me, it’s all about contrast — feeling comfortable and unpretentious. You’ll often see me in tonal outfits with a wider cut. I really believe in owning fewer, better-quality pieces that can be worn season after season, rather than chasing trends and throwing things away after just a few wears.

To me, dressing well is all about fit. I can appreciate a wide range of personal styles, but if the fit is off, it doesn’t matter how good the clothes are — it just doesn’t work.

My late ’90s Cartier Basculante, chukka boots from CQP, our newly released brushed wool jacket in black from Giabe, sunglasses from Vivienne Westwood, and my white gold engagement ring.
