My name is Paul Croughton, and I work for Robb Report in both the US and the UK.

I think we need more distinctive points of view—brands and people who are willing to take creative risks and stand out.

The opposite—there's a lot of "me-too" stuff out there. Many brands seem hesitant to develop a unique perspective, and that results in a lack of originality.

I’d say A Tempo Rubato. I wear a lot of their chinos and overshirts. The quality is excellent, and I know I’ll be wearing these pieces for years as they age beautifully over time.

I think they’ll become increasingly important. Pre-owned pieces are a great way to mix up your wardrobe and develop a unique point of view without looking like you just walked out of a store with a pre-packaged look. Here in Italy, you see a lot of older gentlemen who do this brilliantly—pairing a new blazer with an old jacket, for instance. It’s better for the planet and better for personal style.
