5 Questions with Matt Hranek from WM Brown

1. You are the founder of WM Brown which is a great publication. Culture, menswear and many other topics play a big role. Could you explain a bit more in detail what WM Brown is all about?

I was searching for a magazine that covered all the topics I liked under one title—style, cars, watches, food, etc.—so I decided to make it. It’s a niche magazine for sure, with a balance of high and low. You know, grand cuvée and chicken wings, bespoke tailoring and thrift finds.

2. Your diverse roles must involve a travel-intensive and fascinating lifestyle. Could you describe what a typical day looks like for you?

First, I need 7-8 hours of sleep. I wake up early, drink black coffee, and check all my digital comms. Then I exercise, which is either a run or a gym visit. Depending on where I am in the world, I start crafting the Wm Brown universe—planning the next issues, designing and discussing collaborations, and speaking with our small team on strategic operations.
